Hebburn School Students Get a Taste of Sixth Form Life at NSFC
Newcastle Sixth Form College recently had the pleasure of welcoming over 100 enthusiastic Year 10 students from Hebburn School for an exciting and immersive day of subject-based activities. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for students to experience a range of subjects, including Psychology, Biology, Business and Economics, Art and Graphics, Law and Ethics, and Media and Film Studies. Each session was led by our expert teachers to give students a real taste of A-Level study.
Throughout the day, students took part in hands-on learning experiences, from exploring psychological concepts and scientific experiments to debating ethical issues and getting creative with artistic and graphic design projects. The Business and Economics sessions encouraged students to think critically about real-world financial and entrepreneurial challenges, while Media and Film Studies allowed them to dive into the creative aspects of storytelling and production.
The event was not only a chance for students to expand their knowledge but also an opportunity to develop key skills such as problem-solving, analysis, and collaboration. They were able to ask questions, engage in discussions, and gain valuable insights into the subjects they may choose to study in the future.
It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm and curiosity from the visiting students, and we hope the experience has inspired them as they begin thinking about their next steps in education. We look forward to welcoming them back to NSFC in the future and continuing to support their academic journey!
