Last week, our Year 12 A Level Drama students were deeply moved by the acclaimed National Theatre production of War Horse at Sunderland Empire.
Following the performance, the lead actor from the production, Tom Sturgess, graciously came into college to work with our students in lessons as part of an inspiring Q&A and Drama Workshop. We are extremely grateful to Tom for giving up his time for our students.
This has been an incredible opportunity for our students to gain a deeper understanding of the play and its production. As part of their Year 13 written exam, Drama students will be asked to evaluate a live theatre performance, and this enriching experience has certainly given them plenty to reflect on.
