A Level Media and Music Technology students enjoyed an exciting and inspiring day at Generator Live in Newcastle, an event designed to connect young creatives with professionals from across the creative industries.

Throughout the day, students attended a range of insightful panel talks covering the music, film and gaming industries. These sessions gave students valuable insight into industry trends, career pathways and the skills needed to succeed in competitive creative roles, allowing them to connect their classroom learning to real-world practice.

A highlight of the visit was the opportunity to meet Brooke Bentham, the acclaimed backing singers for Sam Fender. Hearing first-hand about her experiences working in the music industry offered students and motivating and realistic perspective on building a career in the creative sector.

The visit proved to be a fantastic opportunity for students to ask questions, network with professionals and collaborate with peers, making it a memorable and motivating day of learning beyond the classroom.
